Hi.
This may be old news, but I haven't seen it anywhere yet on the web.
Attached is a gif drawing that I made showing how to convert a PC-8201A or
8300 standard battery pack to use NiCads. I drew this by simply looking at
a PC-8201A-90 NiCad cartridge, and a standard battery pack.
It's very simple, but I'm not sure how the value of the resistor might make
a difference, and it is a bit odd- 71.5 KOhms. I used two 1/4 watt resistors
in parallel (180K and 120K=72K) to get as close as possible, and it seems to
work fine. Enjoy.
